In the morning, you will be picked up at Your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City and depart for Cai Be for a 2.5 hours’ drive (around 100 km away from Ho Chi Minh city). On the way, you will enjoy the landscape of the rural areas in the south of Vietnam, which is considered to be the rice basket of Viet Nam.
Arriving in Cai Be, you will take a boat on the Tien River (or the upper river) to participate in the Cai Be floating market and witness the real life style of the local people. You can purchase and bargain special local products on the river with local vendors.
After this, you pay a visit to the traditional villages for handmade products such as green rice flakes, rice paper, coconut candy and rice wine. The visit to the ancient house of Mr. Vo Van Kiet, the ex-prime minister of Viet Nam, of over 100 years with unique architecture is also a highlight of your tour. You will taste tropical fresh fruits and enjoy your local lunch here. In the afternoon, the car will transfer you back to Ho Chi Minh City.
